Premium Wordpress Design (Part 3)
Part 3 | Slicing up the images in Photoshop CS4.
January 26, 2009 by Gary Simon
In part 3 watch as I cut the design up into images. In total we end up with 14 image files that we’ll use and reference in the HTML/CSS tutorials to come. Cutting up the design into images is very important as they serve as the basis of how you will structure the HTML & CSS. Knowing what can and cannot be acheived through CSS alone is important, so the decisions you make in the first step of the HTML/CSS process are important!

This is truley an amazing tutorial!
Can i ask where you learned all these skills? Like wat kinds of schools you went to?
I don’t know where to start (education wise) for web design, graphics…etc.
Thanks in advance

Thanks. I’m all self taught. Going to school and paying $xx,xxx isn’t necessary when everything you need to learn from is available on the Internet. it’s all about starting with a project and doing what it takes to build it.. there are tons of forums that will help you with any issue or question you come across, that’s what I did.

Really really nice, only one suggestion;)
Hold + Cntrl on the thumbnail of the layer you want to select and you have selected everything in that layer!;)

Great point and very interesting food for thought. I’m not sure I have any clients I can replicate this with, but will bear in mind for the future. Regards

Another amazing video. Great information and I’m looking forward to the next video to see how you blend it all together with css and xhtml. Good stuff, keep it up!
