Part 2 | Finishing the Design in Photoshop CS4

Check out the fully complete design. (Also, I quickly designed a footer area after I did the video tutorial, it’s nothing elaborate, you can do it on your own.)
As promised, here’s part 2 of the free wordpress design video tutorials. In this tutorial we’ll finish off the theme design by focusing on the content portion. We’ll design the social networking sections, the main content/post section and the right sidebar.
In part 3, we’ll start with splicing the PSD up into images that we’ll use in the html & css tutorial(s).

I just finnished part 2. I love it, can’t wait to see part three. Gary… I’m an actual subscriber, you probably dont understand but you busted my cherry, I’ve never subscribed anywhere not even at my favorite sites. I think how you got me was, well, of course the amazing content and quality but the “F” bomb you dropped in Part one of Premium Wordpress Design, thats what got me. lol. Seriously though thanks for the inspiration.

Your tutorials are amazing. what a lot of instructors fail to realize is that speaking like a human being actually allows the student to get closer to their work because they’re not being talked at, they’re being talked to.
another thing is that these aren’t what i like to call “smoke and mirrors” tutorials. You run through the entire damned process without cutting out anything. For those of us who learn from error, or need some time for reflection on a process you nail it. Please keep making these videos.
My only issue is that the videos aren’t downloadable. I only wish I could burn them and watch them while I do other things.
I am a skilled designer but always love seeing other techniques, If you put out a tutorial DVD or allowed free download (which I recommend, sell advertising in them per download, you’ll make more and keep your users happy.) I would be so friggin down. Great bloody tutorial series man.

btw what software do you use to make the video tutorials?
